Casino Miami Jai Alai Opens
Miami Jai Alai's new casino, which opened January 25, 2012 in the refurbished fronton, features 1,050 slot machines as well as over two dozen tables for poker and dominoes. The official grand opening was set for March 31st.

Calder Casino Now Open
Calder Race Course's casino opened at 9am on January 22nd. The brand new facility houses 1200 slot, video poker, and video blackjack machines. There are also two restaurants and a buffet, as well as the 11 table Studz Poker Room, and simulcast wagering.

Quarter Horse Racing at Hialeah Park
Hialeah Park reopened on November 28, 2009 for quarter horse racing. The season ends February 2, 2010. Live races run Saturday through Tuesday. First post time is 2:05pm. Gates open at 1pm with free parking and free admission.

Magic City Casino Now Open
The new Magic City Casino opened at Flagler Dog Track in October. The casino features 700 slots and video poker machines, a poker room, a buffet and snack bar, and an outdoor bar with live music. The casino also has a pretty active entertainment. There is also live greyhound racing five days a week, plus simulcast wagering every day.
